Effective August 28, 2026. Transcript Study Slicer is designed to work without an account and without sending transcript text or study passages to us.

What the extension stores

The extension stores transcript text you import, source titles and links, passage marks, and license status in your browser’s local extension storage. This enables revisiting saved studies. You can delete individual studies in the extension, clear the extension’s storage in browser settings, or uninstall it.

What leaves your browser

Transcript and passage data does not leave your browser. When you verify a Plus license, the extension sends only the license token and product slug to the Sociobot billing API. When you buy Plus, checkout details are processed by Sociobot and its merchant-of-record/payment provider, Dodo; their policies apply to that transaction.

Page access

After you click the extension, it reads only selected text or known, visible transcript elements in the active tab. It does not read browsing history, download audio or video, bypass access controls, or continue monitoring the page.

Website data

This website uses no advertising cookies, behavioral analytics, third-party fonts, or tracking scripts. If checkout returns a license in the URL, the site stores it locally and immediately removes it from the visible URL. Normal server access logs may temporarily contain IP address, timestamp, requested path, and user agent for security and operations.

Your choices

All core features work without payment or an account. Exporting creates a file you control. Removing extension or site storage removes locally held data; exported files remain wherever you saved them.
