Permitted use

Use the product only with transcripts, captions, and text you are authorized to access and process. You are responsible for respecting platform terms, copyright, privacy, and applicable law. Do not use it to bypass access controls, redistribute video or audio, or infringe another person’s rights.

The free product

The free tier includes transcript cleanup, passage marking, local revisiting for up to three saved studies, source links, and Markdown/CSV export. Features may improve over time, but we will not deliberately place accessibility or previously free core export functions behind a paywall.

Study Stall Plus

Plus is a $19 one-time purchase for unlimited saved studies and full-library JSON backups in the current major version. Sociobot, with Dodo as merchant of record, handles checkout and refunds. A refund, reversal, expired test license, or revoked license disables Plus. The free tier and your local data remain available.

Licenses and availability

A Plus license may be restored on your own devices. Do not publish or resell a token. Verification may occasionally require a network connection. We may revoke tokens obtained fraudulently or shared abusively.

Your data and backups

Your study data is local. You are responsible for backups and exported files. Clearing browser data or uninstalling the extension can remove unexported studies.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided “as is,” without warranties to the extent allowed by law. It is a study utility, not a guaranteed transcript source or archival service. To the extent allowed by law, Sociobot is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the product.

Changes and contact

Material changes will be dated here and apply prospectively. If a change materially affects a paid entitlement, we will provide a reasonable remedy. Questions can be sent to support@sociobot.in.
